Middle Class India

Getting education in a lower middle class family.

India is a rapidly changing country in which inclusive, high-quality education is of utmost importance for its future prosperity. The country is currently in a youth bulge phase. It has the largest youth population in the world—a veritable army of 600 million youth under the age of 25. Fully 28 percent of the population is less than 14 years of age, and with more than 30 babies being born every minute, population growth rates are expected to remain at around 1 percent for years. India is expected to overtake China as the largest country on earth by 2022 and grow to about 1.5 billion  people by 2030.

This demographic change could be a powerful engine of economic growth and development: If India manages to modernize and expand its education system, raise educational attainment levels, and provide skills to its youth, it could gain a significant competitive advantage over swiftly aging countries like China.

As per world bank India still comes in lower middle income nation ,which means people here are mostly lower middle class family .

Education at one of the better schools/colleges is  one of the luxurious stuffs that the almost every  people in India wants. Getting educated as a lower middle class Indian isn't so easy .
One of the major reasons for this is the expensive private schools. The fees of private school are too high and the problem is not just the school fees in addition to that they charge for various things which they even don't conduct regularly. They would do stuffs which won't be so much useful but just an expense for the parents. The project work (filed assessment)  given to children are not even checked properly. Some just check the cover without looking at the content. Those who got money would buy stickers glitters and decorate the cover but those who don't who have branded the content would get lesser appreciation which would led them to ask their parents for those stuffs which they can't afford that much. It's just an example how some things affect the children to demand stuffs from their parent which they can't afford . These stuffs either create tension in the family or for the parent. As the child grows this incidents increases because as they get in higher classes their requirements increases .

And the reason why parents don't get their wards enrolled in government schools is the lack of educational  quality and facilities there. Neither they have good infrastructure nor the management .The teachers are not regular neither are they concerned about the students , they would teach very few things when the attendance would be good or they may teach nothing at all , they have no pressure like the private schools to complete the syllabus with a given time regularly .The performance of the government schools are very poor ,it maybe because of no proper administration or the teachers not being up to mark . Although some of the government school are much better than the private schools but most of them are improperly functioned with low strength of both students and teachers with no proper infrastructure .
